Terra and Beyond

This exhibition brings together two very different styles of art.  Local artist Shelly Hearne and her son Graham Hearne (Oneirogen_art), will show how differently they approach their work.  Shelly has lived and worked as an artist in Fort Collins for almost 30 years.  As a progressive artist, she is continually searching for new ways of viewing the color in the world around her and translating that, in her own way, to the canvas.  Her florals, landscapes and abstract work is recognized and collected throughout the United States.  Shelly will have a large body of both early and recent work on display.

An oneiron, from the Greek word "oneiros, meaning "dream" and gen, "to create", is that which produces or enhances dream-like states of consciousness.  Graham Hearne's art is focused on bringing the viewer to unknown realms of the mind.  Bringing a sense of peace as well as curiosity.  To bring the viewer even further into the dream realms.  He combines 2d mediums with technology including his digital work, to create an entirely new sensory experience. Graham will demonstrate this technique on First Friday Gallery Walk, along with his 2D paintings.
